Sustainable Development - meeting growing human needs for natural resources while conserving and protecting environmental quality and the natural resource base essential for future life and development.

            The Benchley Project strives to heighten the awareness of integrating built form into the environment.  The built form should harness renewable resources such as wind, water and sun and utilize them to create a living structure that adapts to the natural elements at hand.

            In co-ordination with Lars Stanley, AIA, Austin, TX; The Benchley Project is the work of three architecture students from Texas A&M University.  Located near Benchley, Texas on land owned by Lars Stanley, the project comprises a master plan of a sustainable living complex.
